About the Facility

Lakin Correctional Center and Jail is located six miles north of Point Pleasant on WV Route 62. It is a maximum security correctional facility which houses custody levels ranging from minimum to maximum and is the only all-female prison in the state. The facility has a current capacity of 543 inmates.
