      Other Career Opportunities

Although it is the primary responsibility of the WVDCR to attract Correctional Officers to provide for public safety, we offer a wide range of employment opportunities, including Parole Officers (see below), food service professionals, maintenance personnel, administrative staff as well as recreation, information technology and unit management careers.

      Careers with Parole Services

Parole Services is a department within the WV Division of Corrections. For additional details about how to apply, employment requirements for Parole Services, benefits and additional information, please see Here for Parole Officer I positions.

Vacancies in Parole Services can be posted for internal applications, public applications or both. You can review the WV Division of Personnel (DOP) website for Probation & Parole Officer openings, but it is also recommended that you complete a Job Interest Card on the DOP website to be notified when a Probation & Parole Officer position is open for public application. Find out more information on completing a Job Interest Card at: http://www.state.wv.us/admin/personnel/jobs/wvneo/catframe2.htm
