About the Facility

The Mason County Youth Reporting Center (MSCYRC) is located next to Point Pleasant Intermediate School and serves both status offenders and youth who have been adjudicated delinquent. YRC staff work with the Mason County Magistrate and provide community service hours for youth that have tobacco violations. Correctional staff can provide supportive counseling and a Master's level therapist that provides therapy and groups for the youth. Specific groups are offered such as Truancy/Diversion, Anger Management and Substance Use that last approximately 8 weeks. The full program takes approximately 6 months to complete which is based on youth's risks/needs and assessment results.
